Faulkner University's College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Clinical Educator for the Occupational Therapy Program. This individual must have a desire to educate health care professionals in a Christ-centered environment while serving the community through student and client engagement. The selected individual will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to clients in the on-campus clinic. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 12-month clinical position. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Summary of Duties:

  • Evaluate and treat clients (pediatric through adults) in the on-campus clinic
  • Provide clinical training and supervision of students in the OT program
  • Serve as a Fieldwork Educator (informed of the curriculum and fieldwork program design)
  • Monitor and document the academic performance of students in level 1 and level 2 fieldwork to ensure they successfully achieve the criteria for completing clinical learning experiences

Qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapist with NBCOT certification required
  • Licensed in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama within 90 days of hire required
  • Master's degree or higher, awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in occupation-centered Occupational Therapy required
  • Active member of the church of Christ preferred
