Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Collaborative Pianist. The selected individual is responsible for providing piano accompaniment in support of the Department of Music, including a variety of rehearsals, performances and private lessons. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a part-time (3 to 6 hours per week), 9-month position.
Summary of Duties:
- Accompany music students during two departmental recitals each semester
- Accompany voice students during private lessons each week
- Collaborate with and accompany music majors during senior recitals
- Accompany music students during juries at the end of each semester
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; extensive experience in piano instruction and/or accompanying will be considered
- Experience as an accompanist with soloists preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ
